This course will help you develop your art and design skills as you explore techniques of drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, new media and sculpture. As well as exciting practical studio work, you'll develop a theoretical and historical understanding of art and design practice, demonstrating through your work how artists' concepts and techniques have influenced your own ideas. You will also be required to learn and apply the formal elements and principles of art and design within your work. With purpose-built studios and specialist facilities for textiles, sculpture, print-making, photography and painting, our Art & Design Department offers the ideal environment in which to unleash your creative skills. There are great experienced teachers from a range of specialist and professional backgrounds.
