If you love reading, theatre, writing and language, you'll find plenty to interest you in our English Department. All classes take place in a dedicated suite of rooms where you will also find computers, DVDs and other resources to extend your studies. You may attend conferences, workshops and theatre performances. The teachers in the English department are passionate about their subject and pride themselves on their ability to transmit their enthusiasm and interest to the students.
If you're keen on English, this course offers a great opportunity. You will study a variety of literary texts including drama, poetry, novels and short stories. You will also study non-literary material such as travel writing, autobiographies, journalism and transcripts of everyday conversations.
You will study Non-Literary Prose & Modern
Drama and Non-Literary Spoken Language &
Poetry. You will also study creative writing.
A Level English Language and
Literature is assessed through external exams
English based degrees provide a wealth
