You will extend your performance skills and develop your skills of composing and singing to lead you to a successful career as a musician. Our music courses are recognised for consistently outstanding results, high grades, professional standards of performance and success. We have many former students currently working professionally within the industry who can offer excellent performance opportunities and exposure for music students.

You will develop your performance and musical skills to prepare you for a career in music. Lessons take place in our fully resourced and purpose-built Dankworth Music Suite. You do not need to have Music GCSE, or be able to read musical notation. You do need to be passionate about music, be willing to learn, sing and perform, and develop your work to a professional level.

BTEC Music is assessed through external exams, coursework and performance assessments.

This course provides students with the skills to study music courses at university and then apply for jobs within the Music Industry, including careers in Performance, Production, Composition and Writing.

You will further refine your practical skills, reaching a professional level of performance. As a class you will also be required to organise your own large-scale music event.
