In Photography you will learn about different photographic materials, printing, filters and process techniques. The course will help you to develop your understanding of different issues and genres to create your own pieces.

You will develop your creativity and gain a solid grounding in photographic skills. You will explore both technical and creative camera techniques, taking part in practical projects and learn to carry out independent research from various sources whilst working on assignments. An important aspect of the course is to study and analyse the work of artists and photographers in the context of your practical work.

A Level Photography is assessed through external exams and practical work.

Studying Photography can lead to Advertising, Media, Film and Television, Graphics, Publishing, Architecture, Museum or Exhibition Work, Theatre Design, Interior Design, Art Galleries, Jewellery, Fashion, Photography, Textiles or teaching Art and Design.
